Babia Góra (in Polish), or Babia hora (in Slovak), literally the mountain of the old woman or the witch's mountain, is a massif located on the border between Poland and Slovakia in the western Beskid Mountains. The name is also applied to the peak of the massif, Diablak ("Devil's Peak"), which is also the highest peak of this part of the Carpathians, at 1,725 meters (5,659 ft) above sea level.

The area of the National Park of Babia Góra is accessible for touristic purposes, but the way and the degree of touristic use must not harm nature. Without a doubt, the most attractive place in the whole massif of Babia Góra is its highest peak - Diablak, due to the unique views that can be seen from it. For nature lovers, trekking through the forests of Babia Góra, the clearings, the thickets of the dwarf mountain pines or alpine lawns can be truly fascinating. Babia Góra attracts crowds of tourists. In recent years, their number has exceeded 100,000 per year.
